He received his art education under the guidance of artist-teachers A.N.Ivanov, N.A. Slavnova, A.G. Sukiasyan, G.K Kravchenko and S.A. Chuikova. Creating and improving his creative method, Dementyev followed the path of mastering the artistic heritage of the old masters, studying in detail and in depth the technique and technology of world landscape art. Subsequently, he actively participates in all-Union, republican, zonal, Moscow and international exhibitions. The main genre is landscape, cityscape. The paintings are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, art galleries in Tyumen and other cities in Russia and abroad.
