Painter, theater artist. Studied at the Warsaw Institute of Music. In 1895 he began painting. In Moscow, his teachers were V.A. Serov and K.A. Korovin, in whose workshop he worked in 1897-1898. Active participant in exhibitions since 1896 (MOLKH, “World of Art”, etc.). Author of landscapes, decorative panels and symbolic and fantastic compositions. In 1912 he traveled around the East and wrote many sketches. In 1907, in the theater V.F. Komissarzhevskaya designed the performances “Peléas and Melisande” by M. Maeterlinck and “The Comedy of Love” by G. Ibsen. In 1913, at the musical drama theater in St. Petersburg, he worked on the design of the opera “Boris Godunov” by M. Mussorgsky and “Sadko” by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov. Personal exhibitions of works by V.V. Denisov took place in Moscow (1912, 1916), in Petrograd (1915), in Paris (1906). The works are in the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Leningrad Theater Museum, and the V.D. Estate Museum. Polenov in the Tula region, Irkutsk Regional Art Museum.
