Soviet painter, monumentalist. People's Artist of the RSFSR, master of panoramic and diorama art. Born in 1921. Lived and worked in Moscow. Graduated from the art department of VGIK (1943). He led teams of artists who created dioramas and panoramas for the pavilions of the Supreme Economic Council and VDNKh (1949-60). As a production designer, he participated in the production of more than 20 popular science films. However, dioramas brought him fame; he was called the “Soviet Rubo”. Deshalyt is the author of large-scale panoramic works: “Victory Salute”, “Chapaev’s Last Battle”, “Battle for Bagration’s Flashes”, “Battle for Maloyaroslavets in October 1812”, “Heroic Presnya. 1905" and others. The artist’s works were successfully demonstrated at all-Union and international exhibitions, where they were repeatedly awarded. The author's works are in many regional museums and private collections.
