Deyker Karl Friedrich

Deycker Karl Friedrich (1836 -1892)

German animal artist. He studied painting at the Art Academy in Hanau, and then with J. W. Schirmer in Karlsruhe. From 1864 he lived and worked in Düsseldorf. K. F. Deyker was a famous animal artist, depicting wild animals of Germany - deer, wild boars, as well as battles between male deer, broods of wild piglets fleeing from animal hunters. The artist also illustrated scenes with animals in art magazines and hunting literature.
