Dobrynin Petr Semenovich

Painter, graphic artist. Studied at the Academy of Arts with F.A. Roubaud, in 1908 received 1st prize at the competition for the sketch “Falconry”, in 1911 - the title of artist for the painting “Royal Construction” of the 17th century. He was a member of the Association of Independents (1910-1917). Before the revolution, he performed works on themes of Russian history and landscapes depicting monuments of ancient Russian architecture. After the revolution, he created a series of works dedicated to Lenin’s places in Simbirsk. He participated in the creation of dioramas for the Museum of the Revolution in Moscow, for the World Exhibition in New York in 1939. Exhibitions of works by P.S. Dobrynin were held in Simbirsk (Ulyanovsk) in 1920 and 1958. The artist’s works are stored in the Museum of the USSR Academy of Arts, the Central Museum of V.I. Lenin and other museums
