Painter, graphic artist and ethnographer, in 1891-1897 he studied with I.E. Repin at the Academy of Arts, was a pensioner abroad. Since 1900, he took part in academic exhibitions, exhibitions of the A.I. Society. Kuindzhi, one of the founders of which was the St. Petersburg Society of Artists. He took part as an artist and photographer in ethnographic expeditions to Mongolia, China and Turkestan. CM. Dudin mainly painted genre paintings on themes of life in Central Asia, landscapes, and turned to creating compositions with a nude model.
