Landscape painter; studied in the 1850s at the Imperial Academy of Arts, received two silver medals, small and large, and in 1868 - the title of academician. He painted views of the outskirts of St. Petersburg and various areas of the Estland, Novgorod and Chernigov provinces. Together with A.V. Gina and I.I. Shishkin worked on an album with views of the island of Valaam. His works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Hermitage, museums of Irkutsk, Kursk, Tyumen, Almaty, Tashkent and others.
