Russian and Soviet painter, graphic artist and teacher, member of the Leningrad Union of Artists. In 1898 he graduated from the Higher Art School at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg in the workshop of I. E. Repin with the title of artist of the 1st degree for the painting “Spring”. In 1899 he went with a group of artists to Constantinople to carry out a government assignment to paint an Orthodox church. The artist’s works are in the Russian Museum, museums and private collections in Russia, the USA, Italy, Germany, France and other countries.
