Egornov Alexander Semenovich (1858, Moscow-1902, St. Petersburg).

Painter, watercolorist. From 1883 he studied at the Academy of Arts with M.K. Klodt, was awarded a large silver medal (1886), a small gold medal (1887), and a large gold medal and the title of class artist of the 1st degree for the painting “Oaks”. Since 1887 he has been a regular participant in exhibitions. In 1889-1891. As a pensioner, AH traveled to France, Italy, and England. For the landscapes "Before the Storm" (1893, Russian Russian Museum) and "Normandy Coast" (1893) he received the title of academician. From 1897 to 1902 headed the Society of Russian Watercolorists in St. Petersburg, which included Albert Benois, A.P. Bogolyubov, M.P. Klodt, K.Ya. Kryzhitsky, L.F. Lagorio. An exhibition of the artist's works took place in 1904 in St. Petersburg. The works are stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and many other regional and republican museums.
