Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Famous muralist. Graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I. E. Repin in 1953. Participant in exhibitions since 1955. Exhibited at group exhibitions in the early 1960s: “Exhibitions of the group of 9” (1961, Moscow), “Exhibitions of the group of 8” (1962, Leningrad) together with N. Andronov, M. Ivanov, P. Nikonov and others. Personal exhibitions of N. Egorshina were held in a number of museums, including the Pushkin Museum. A.S. Pushkin (2001). Works by N.A. Egorshina are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Abramtsevo Museum-Reserve, the Samara Art Museum and many other domestic regional museums, the National Art Gallery in Sofia and the P. Ludwig Museum in Aachen. The painting was exhibited at personal exhibitions of N.A. Egorshina (Exhibition Hall, Vavilova St., Moscow, 1979, and Exhibition Hall, Kuznetsky Most, 2001) and at the exhibition “Sur.realism” (pop/off/art gallery, 2005), mentioned in the catalog of N. Egorshina’s personal exhibition in 1979.
