Painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (since 1962). Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Laureate of the Mayor of St. Petersburg Prize. Awarded a silver medal of the Russian Academy of Arts. He studied at the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School (1949 - 1950), Leningrad Art School (1950 - 1953) and the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1953 - 1959). Personal exhibitions were held in 1982, 1983, in Dresden, in 1986 in the large hall of the Leningrad Union of Artists, in 1995, and 2006. in the Benois Wing of the State Russian Museum, in 2007 in the State Tretyakov Gallery. The artist’s works are in more than forty Russian and foreign museums, including the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery and the State Russian Museum.
