Elagina Elena Vladimirovna

From 1962 to 1967 she studied at the Moscow Secondary Art School (MSHS). In 1967 - 1972 she studied with Alisa Poret, a student of P. Filonov. From 1972 to 1975 she studied at the Faculty of Philology of the Pedagogical Institute. Since 1979, member of the Collective Actions group. Since 1993 member of the Moscow Union of Artists. Since 1990, a number of projects have been carried out with I. Makarevich. Participant of the 2nd Biennale in Cetinje (1994), 2nd Biennale in Prague (2005). In 1998 she received the Civitella-Ranieri grant (jointly with I. Makarevich). Personal exhibition at the State Tretyakov Gallery (2006, jointly with I. Makarevich). Lives in Moscow. The works are in the Berlin Gallery-Museum of Contemporary Art, the State Museums of Berlin, the P. Ludwig Museum (Cologne), the Duke Museum of North Carolina State University (Durham, USA), the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the NCCA, MMMA, ART4.RU, the Catherine Cultural Foundation, and private collections.
