Eliseev Anatoly Mikhailovich

Soviet and Russian graphic artist, illustrator and cartoonist, actor. People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2001). He graduated from the Moscow Printing Institute in 1952, and immediately after graduation took up book illustration; he drew a lot of caricatures and satirical sketches, which were published by the Krokodil magazine and other publications; collaborated with popular children's magazines "Murzilka" and "Funny Pictures", created sketches for the theater. In book illustration, until 1970, Eliseev worked closely with the artist M.A. Skobelev. The works of Anatoly Eliseev are often exhibited at exhibitions and fairs of book art, both in Russia and abroad; repeatedly received prizes and awards; Samuil Marshak’s book “Mail”, illustrated by Eliseev, earned the artist a first-degree diploma at the All-Russian competition “The Art of the Book” (1967).
