Aime Alix

Aimé Alix (1894, Marseille – 1989).

She studied drawing at the Conservatory in Toulouse, then in Paris with M. Denis. In 1920 she moved to Shanghai, and from 1925 she taught drawing at the French Lyceum in Hanoi. From 1935 to 1945 she worked at the College of Fine Arts. In 1931 she participated in the preparation of the Colonial Exhibition in Paris. In 1945 he returned to Paris. He gains fame thanks to a series of children's portraits and illustrations, as well as his creative use of traditional and exotic techniques and their free combination.
