People's Artist of the USSR. Born in the village of Uglevshchina in Karelia. In 1930 he moved with his parents to Leningrad. In 1935 he was admitted to the school of young talents at the Academy of Arts, which a year later was transformed into a secondary art school. From 1941 to 1944 - at the front. In 1951 he graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, Faculty of Painting (workshop of B. Ioganson). Member of the Union of Artists since 1951. For two years he worked in the direction of the Novosibirsk organization of the Union of Artists. He was awarded a diploma and medal for the monumental panel “Grain” for the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition. Later he lived and worked in Leningrad. In 1970, A. Eremin was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR, in 1978 - the title of People's Artist of the USSR. He has participated in exhibitions since 1939. For many years he headed the bureau of the painting section of the Leningrad Union of Artists, and was elected to the board of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR and the Union of Artists of the USSR. The works of A. Eremin are kept in the State Russian Museum, museums and private collections in Russia and abroad.
