Graduated from the Kursk Art School (1956) and the Kharkov Art Institute (1963). Since 1964 - teacher at the art and graphic faculty of the Kursk State Pedagogical Institute, dean of the faculty, professor. In 1984 - the first personal art exhibition in Kursk, and in 1986 - the first personal art exhibition in Moscow. Author of the paintings “Kursk Beauties” (State Tretyakov Gallery), “The Return of Ivan” (Museum of the USSR Ministry of Culture, reproduced on a USSR postage stamp), “On the Holiday”, “Beetroot Girls”, “Happiness”, “Polyushko-Field”, etc. (Kursk Regional Art Gallery), portrait gallery of Knights of the Order of Alexander Nevsky, etc. Many of E.’s paintings are kept in regional art galleries of Tambov, Krasnoyarsk, in the Gorlovka Art Museum, in private collections in Russia, Ukraine, Estonia, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, France, USA, Italy, Holland, Denmark. Author of the book-album of memoirs “My Life is My Love”, published in Kursk in 2004.
