Eisenstein Sergei Mikhailovich (1898 - 1948).

Soviet theater and film director, artist, screenwriter, art theorist, teacher. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1935). Winner of two Stalin Prizes of the first degree (1941,1946). Professor at VGIK. Doctor of Art History (1939), author of fundamental works on cinema theory. The author of "Battleship Potemkin" was not only the greatest master of Soviet and world cinema, an outstanding film theorist, doctor of art history, professor at VGIK, but also a brilliant draftsman, from whose pencil funny and evil erotic pictures came out.
