Falk Robert Rafailovich (1886, Moscow - 1958, Moscow).

In 1903 he graduated from the Petropavlovsk Real School, in 1904-1905. studied at the school of K.F. Yuona and I.O. Dudin, as well as in the private studio of I.I. Mashkova. From 1905 to 1912 studied at MUZHVZ with A.E. Arkhipova, A.M. Vasnetsova, L.O. Pasternak, V.A. Serov and K.A. Korovina. Since 1910, he has been a regular participant in “Jack of Diamonds” exhibitions. He worked at the All-Russian College of Fine Arts (1918-1921), was a professor and dean of the painting faculty of VKHUTEMAS-VHUTEIN (1918 - 1928). In the 1920s. Falk's works were constantly exhibited at foreign exhibitions of Soviet art in Berlin, Venice, Paris, Vienna, Stockholm, Tokyo, New York and other cities. In 1928, R. Falk went to Paris, where he lived for almost ten years. At the end of the 1930s. traveled to Central Asia, visited Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent and Khiva. In the 1940s - 1950s. worked in Moscow, paying much attention to the genre of landscape and portrait. The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in Moscow (1924, 1927, 1958). The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the State Museum of Arts of Armenia, and other leading museums in the world
