Faibisovich Semyon Natanovich

Russian artist. From 1966 to 1972 he studied at the Moscow Architectural Institute. After graduation, he combined work in design organizations with graphics and painting. From 1979 to 1988 worked at the plant of monumental and decorative art. In the 1970s, he began exhibiting works in basements on Malaya Gruzinskaya, where in the fall of 1985 they were noticed by New York dealers and collectors. Since 1987, the artist’s works began to be widely exhibited in the United States, then in Western Europe. In 2019, a retrospective exhibition of Semyon Faibisovich took place at the New Tretyakov Gallery.
