Finogenov Konstantin Ivanovich

Artist, graphic artist, Honored Artist, laureate of the USSR State Prize, professor. Front-line artist, author of a series of drawings dedicated to the defense of Moscow, the Battle of Stalingrad, the capture of Berlin. Born in 1902 in Tsaritsyn (now Volgograd). He studied in 1917 in the studio of I. I. Mashkov, in 1929-1932 at the All-Russian Academy of Arts (Leningrad) and at the Printing Institute (Moscow). Participant of art exhibitions since 1932. Main works: “Nikita Izotov instructs miners” (1935, Tretyakov Gallery), a series of drawings dedicated to V.I. Lenin (1936-1970, Central Museum of V.I.
