Florensky, Aleksandr Olegovich (born in Leningrad in 1960)

Russian artist, one of the founders of the Leningrad art group "Mitki." Graduated from the ceramics department of the Leningrad Higher Art and Design University named after Mukhina in 1982. In 1985, he co-founded the "Mitki" artist group. In 1990, he completed an internship at the Institute of Higher Plastic Arts Studies. From 1988 to 2000, he worked extensively in book graphics. He illustrated Sergei Dovlatov's iconic three-volume work. Founder of the Mitkilibris publishing house (1994). In 2004, together with Ivan Sotnikov, he founded the Society of Painting and Drawing Lovers. In 2008, together with Dmitry Bugayenko, he founded the B&F Hand Printing Studio. The author's works are represented in the collections of the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the A.S. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, and other museum and private collections.
