Fokin Nikolai Mikhailovich

Fokin Nikolai Mikhailovich (1869 - 1908).

Russian landscape artist. Outstanding master of landscape. He studied at the Academy of Arts (1891-1896) with A.A. Kiseleva. In 1902 he received the title of artist for the painting “Early Snow”. At the World Exhibition in Saint-Louis he received a medal for the painting “The Silence of Autumn”. He took part in exhibitions of the Academy of Arts and the “New Society of Artists”, and was one of the organizers of this association. In 1909, a posthumous exhibition of works by N.M. was organized at the National Exhibition of Arts. Fokina. The artist’s works are in the State Russian Museum, the Museum of the Academy of Arts, and in Russian and foreign private collections.
