Fomin Nikita Petrovich

Fomin Nikita Petrovich (born 1949, Leningrad).

Painter, author of monumental works. Graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin after the workshop of A.A. Mylnikova. Laureate of the USSR State Prize (1979), member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1975. Participated in the creation of mosaics and paintings for metro stations, hotels, churches in St. Petersburg and other cities of Russia. One of the authors of the decorative decoration of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. Since 1975 he has been teaching at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, professor of the Department of Painting and Composition. The artist’s works are in the Museum of the History of Moscow, the State Russian Museum, the Scientific Research Museum of the Academy of Arts (St. Petersburg), the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg, as well as in the Pinacoteca Communale (Ravenna, Italy).
