Galkin Ilya Savvich (1860, St. Petersburg province - 1915, Tver province).

A Russian artist close to the Wanderers, a master of everyday and ceremonial portraits. He studied at the drawing school of the College of Arts, and from 1883 he was a volunteer student of the Academy of Arts. In 1893 he received the title of class artist of the 2nd degree. Participant of exhibitions of the Academy of Arts, St. Petersburg Society of Artists since 1887. The artist’s works are in the State Russian Museum.
