Marine artist, professor, artist of the Russian Maritime Ministry, court counselor with seniority, honorary member of the Board of Trustees of orphanages. Member of the International Association of Watercolorists, the Association of Engraving, the Russian Society of Artists in Paris, and the Society of Artists. He studied at the Odessa Art School, then at the Berlin and Dresden Academies of Fine Arts; studied with Karl Salzman and Paul Meyerheim in Germany, with Tony Robert Fleury and Jules Lefebvre in Paris. He participated in exhibitions of the Association of South Russian Artists in Odessa and the Spring Exhibitions in the halls of the Academy of Arts (1898-1904), in the Great Berlin Exhibition (1903), in the Salon on the Champs-Elysees (1907), where he received the Mention award. Russian Russian Artists After emigrating in 1920, he held solo exhibitions in Zagreb, Osijek, Subotica, Belgrade, Bucharest, Rome and Paris (at the Georges Petit Gallery in 1929), participated in the exhibition of the Society of Russian Artists in the Kingdom of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (1928) and the Great Exhibition of Russian Art in Belgrade (1930). Hansen's works are kept in the Central State Naval Museum in St. Petersburg, the Maximilian Voloshin House Museum in Koktebel, the I. K. Aivazovsky Feodosia Art Gallery, the museums of Rijeka and Zagreb (Croatia), as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
