Igor Gavrilov was born on January 23, 1952. in the family of the artist Vladimir Nikolaevich Gavrilov. After graduating from the Secondary Art School in 1970, Igor entered the V. Surikov Art Institute, where his teachers were A. M. Gritsay and T. T. Salakhov. In 1977 was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR. Since studying at the institute and after, he has repeatedly been on various creative trips around the country and abroad. He took part in many professional art exhibitions. In the 80s and 90s, the artist’s personal exhibitions were held in Italy, Germany, Great Britain and Ireland. The works of Igor Gavrilov are in many private collections and museums in the country and abroad.
