Gavrilov Vladimir Nikolaevich

Laureate of the State Prize named after. I.E. Repin (1971, awarded posthumously). Professor. In 1938-1942 studied at the Moscow Secondary Art School with V.V. Pochitalova. In 1942-1945. - worked at the Studio of Military Artists named after. M.B. Grekova. In 1945 he entered the Moscow State Art Institute. V.I. Surikov, who graduated in 1951 in the workshop of S.V. Gerasimov (thesis “V.I. Surikov” was immediately accepted for the All-Union Art Exhibition). Outstanding artist, landscape painter, genre painter. In the 1950s became one of the founders of Soviet impressionism. The golden fund of Russian fine art includes his paintings “A.N. Radishchev" (1950), "Young Prospectors" (1952), "For the Native Land" (1959), "Joyful March" (1960). However, the all-Union glory of V.N. Gavrilov brought his masterpiece “Fresh Day” (1958, State Russian Museum). In 1975, in memory of V.N. Gavrilov, his personal exhibitions were organized in the halls of the USSR Academy of Arts in Moscow and Leningrad. The works are stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery and the State Russian Museum.
