People's Artist of Russia, full member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Chairman of the Board of the Ministry of Agriculture, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Painters of the Ministry of Agriculture. Born in Moscow in 1946. In 1973 he graduated from the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Art and Graphics. Studied with V.P. Efanova, A.P. Surovtseva, V.A. Dreznina, Yu.E. Vinogradova. Member of the Ministry of Agriculture since 1976. Participant of numerous Moscow, all-Union, Russian and foreign exhibitions. Since 1997, Deputy of the Board of the Ministry of Agriculture, since 2001 - Chairman of the Board of the Association of Painters of the Ministry of Agriculture. Awarded a silver medal of the Russian Academy of Arts.
