Goncharov Grigory Andreevich

Since childhood, he was fond of painting, attended the Voronezh art studio, where his teacher was Repin’s student A.A. Buchkuri. In addition, he attended classes in the art studio of the Central House of Creativity, where the consultants were I.E. Grabar and E.A. Katzman. He took part in the Great Patriotic War. In 1945, he took part in his first exhibition in Fergana, where he presented works created during the war. In 1950 he joined the Union of Artists of the USSR. Known as the author of genre works and industrial landscapes. The artist’s works were repeatedly reproduced on postcards produced in mass editions in the Soviet Union. Name G.A. Goncharov is mentioned in the reference book "Russian and Soviet paintings 1900-1980s", published in London in 1998 on 101 pages. The paintings are in art museums of the former USSR.
