Painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (since 1938). He studied at the Vitebsk Art College (until 1929), then at the Moscow Printing Institute (1929-34) with S.V. Gerasimov and A.A. Deineki. Until 1929 he lived in Vitebsk, then in Moscow. Since 1927, he took an active part in regional, republican and all-Union exhibitions. He headed the party organization of the painting section of the Moscow Soviet Union of Artists. The artist’s works are in museums in Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, as well as in private collections in Russia, England and the USA.
