While studying in the senior classes of a comprehensive school, in 1954-56 the future artist attended the People's Art Studio at the club of the Transmash plant, which was led by the Honored Cultural Worker Alexey Vasilyevich Ievlev. In 1970 V.N. Gopislaetsev graduated from the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School named after. V.I. Muyaina. Since 1969, the artist has been a regular participant in international, all-Union and all-Russian ceramic exhibitions, competitions and symposiums. Gorislavtsev's works are in the collections of major museums in Russia - the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art (Moscow) and other museums in Moscow, Sergiez Posad, Irkutsk, Tomsk, Tyumen, Penza, and foreign countries - the International Museum of Ceramics (Faenza, Italy), the International Museum of Ceramics (Valloris, France), as well as the USA, Switzerland, Hungary. The artist’s works are also in the collection of the State Art Museum of the Altai Territory. They are often exhibited at exhibitions.
