Grachev (Grachov) Alexey Petrovich. He was a soldier in the Semenovsky Life Guards Regiment. Studied engraving from A.A. Osipova. Worked on orders from P.P. Beketov and N.N. Bantysh-Kamensky. I made thirty boards as outlines for the intended publication of a description of M.P.’s art gallery. Golitsyn and six for the publication of the painting collection of Prince M.A. Obolensky. He repeatedly presented his works, copies of engravings by I.-M. Schmutzer based on the original paintings by P.-P. Rubens (“Ambrose stops Emperor Theodosius”, “Mucius burns his hand”), to the Council of the Imperial Academy of Arts to receive the title of non-class (free) artist, but was not awarded the title. Engraver with cutter and dotted line. He made portraits, views, engravings of historical, mythological, biblical subjects, and book illustrations.
