He graduated from the Kostroma Art School in 1954 (he studied with M. Kolesov). Participant of art exhibitions since 1958. In 1985, a personal exhibition was held in Kostroma. Groshev's works are in the collection of the Kostroma Regional Museum of Fine Arts, as well as in private collections in Japan, the USA, and Finland.
