Painter. In 1932 he entered the art school in Tashkent, studied with A. Volkov and M. Kurzin. From 1937 to 1946 studied at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin of the All-Russian Academy of Arts with A.A. Osmerkina. His diploma work “Minin and Pozharsky” is kept in the Museum of the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. Member of the Union of Artists. In 1953 he was nominated for the Stalin Prize for the painting “At the Direct Wire”. In 1957, he went on a large creative trip to Kazakhstan. Participant of numerous all-Union, all-Russian, republican and zonal exhibitions. The artist’s works are found in many cities of the former Soviet Union and in many countries around the world in private collections. A. Gulyaev's works were sold at auctions: Sotheby's, Arcole (Paris), Blache (Grenoble), Phillips (London).
