Istomin Konstantin Nikolaevich (1887, Kursk - 1942, Samarkand).

In 1906-1909 studied at the art school of S. Holloshi in Munich. In the 1920s. was a member of the art associations “Makovets” and “Four Arts”. He taught at Vkhutemas-Vkhutein (1923-1930), from 1926 - professor of painting, vice-rector of the painting faculty. In 1930-1939 taught at the Printing Institute, then at the Moscow Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov (during the evacuation - in Samarkand, 1941-1942). The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and other museum collections in Russia.
