Istratov Yuri Ivanovich

Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Famous film artist, painter, graphic artist. Member of the Union of Cinematographers and the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation. He graduated from the art school in Sverdlovsk, then from the art department of VGIK in Moscow. Since 1954 he worked at the Sverdlovsk film studio. Participated in the production of the feature films “It’s Time for the Taiga Snowdrop” (1958), “Strong in Spirit” (1967), “Gloomy River” (1968), “The Bullet Is Afraid of the Bold” (1975), “Privalov’s Millions” (1972), “The Demidovs” (1983). He participated in the production of popular science films “The Tale of the Stone”, “The Tamed Enemy”, “Circle of Life”, etc. As a film artist, painter and graphic artist, he participated in numerous all-Union, republican, zonal and personal exhibitions. He was awarded a number of government awards, including the Order of the Badge of Honor.
