Ivanov Viktor Semenovich (1909–1968).

Outstanding Soviet graphic artist, painter, film artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1955). Corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1958). Awarded USSR State Prizes (1946, 1949). He is best known as a master of political posters; during his life he created more than 300 sheets on various topics, many of which were included in the golden fund of Soviet posters. Paintings and posters by the artist V. S. Ivanov are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and in many regional museums and private collections.
