Soviet graphic artist, poster artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Lived and worked in Uzbekistan. Author of political and agricultural posters: “A well-fed and warm winter for livestock!” (1953), "Are You Ready to Sow?" (1954), “We will elect the best sons and daughters of the Motherland to the Supreme Council of the Uzbek SSR!” (1955), “Cotton is our wealth! Pick it up!” (1956), “Treasure your honor, cotton grower, you gave your word - keep it!” (1960), “Live, learn and build in peace!” (1960). He made some posters in collaboration with V. I. Morgunov (“Cotton is our wealth! Don’t leave it,” 1953). Circulation posters by M. D. Kalinin are stored in the Russian State Library and private Russian collections.
