Schedule. Son of academician of the USSR Academy of Arts, graphic artist Aminadav Moiseevich Kanevsky (1898-1976). Member of the Union of Journalists (1965). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1972). Honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2019) Studied at the art department of VGIK under Yu.I. Pimenov and A.P. Sazonov (1957-1960). Published in the magazines “Pioneer”, “Ogonyok”, “Crocodile”, “Funny Pictures”, “Murzilka”, “Young Naturalist” (since 1957). Illustrator of books (since 1959) in the publishing houses “Children’s Literature”, “Malysh”, “Soviet Writer”, “Soviet Russia”, etc. Illustrated books by O. Dmitriev “Here comes the turtle” (1967, 1975, 1982), Yu. Martynov “The Pastry King” (1968), V. Korban “Walrus in Love” (1970), S. Mikhalkov “My Friend and I” (1977), etc. Worked at the publishing house “Karelia” (since 1975): illustrations for the books “Mummy Troll”, “Cipollino”. Participant of numerous cartoon exhibitions.
