Karacharskov Nikolay Prokopievich (born 1935, village of Shadrikha, Chuvashia - 2021).

Honored Artist of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (1975), People's Artist of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (since 1977), Honored Artist of the RSFSR (since 1985). He studied at the Cheboksary Art School (1950-1955) with E.E. Burgulova, I.T. Grigorieva. Since 1955 he took an active part in exhibitions. Author of portraits and thematic paintings.
