Painter, muralist and decorator. In 1926 he emigrated to France. Studied with Laurent and Nyum. He worked in French decorative studios and painted scenery for films. In collaboration with Pierre Gand, he made headbands for books, engravings and illustrations. In the early 1930s he exhibited his works at the Salon of Independents. In 1945 - 1947 he participated in exhibitions of Russian artists and sculptors organized by the Union of Soviet Patriots. Took part in the annual Beaux-Arts et Arts Décoratifs exhibition in Asnieres (1950). In 1955 he returned to the USSR and was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR. He designed theatrical productions in Moscow and Magnitogorsk, worked as an artist at the Central Puppet Theater and headed one of the workshops of the Decorative Arts Combine. The artist's personal exhibitions took place in Paris (Sèvres Gallery, 1955), in Moscow (Moskh, 1959; Central House of Artists, 1964; Moskh, 1984). The artist’s works are in museums in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kovrov, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
