Kazak Yuri Alekseevich

Kazak Yuri Alekseevich (born 1951, Rechitsa).

Studied at the art school named after. V.A. Serov in Leningrad (1974-1979) with P. Popshishevskaya and N. Ganzhalo. Participant of exhibitions since 1976. In the 1980s. exhibited at “apartment” exhibitions under the pseudonym Cossack Petersburg. In 1988 he participated in the creation of the Association of Free Artists. Since the early 1990s. participated in exhibitions in the USSR and abroad. The main theme of creativity is the views of St. Petersburg. The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in 1983, 1984, 1985, 1989, 1992, 1998, 2001. in St. Petersburg, in Moscow in 2004. A retrospective exhibition of Cossack was held in 2000 in St. Petersburg. The artist's works are in the State Museum of Belarus, in private collections in Germany, the USA, England, Holland, and the Baltic states.
