Kibardin Georgy Vladimirovich

Participant of art exhibitions since 1928. He also worked as a graphic designer. In 1941 he volunteered for the front. Later, in 1944, together with a group of military artists, he organized an exhibition in Poland for our troops, “The Combat Path of the First Belorussian Front.” In 1957, G.V. Kibardin’s personal exhibition on the theme “White Sea” opened. These works were created by him at the White Sea Biological Station of Moscow State University since 1955. From that time on, the White Sea became the main theme of the artist’s work. In the North, he painted more than 600 works - mainly landscapes, as well as thematic paintings and portraits. Many of his White Sea works were published in the book “White Sea” (M.: Soviet Artist. 1964. 71 pp. Text by D.I. Eremin, ill. by G.V. Kibardin).
