Painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Studied at the Moscow Secondary Art School (1940-1945), Moscow State Art Institute named after. V.I. Surikov (1945-1950). Worked in Moscow. He began exhibiting in 1950. He took part in the All-Union art exhibitions in Moscow (1950, 1955), and in the exhibition “Soviet Russia” (Moscow, 1960). In the 1940-1950s. Kitaev A.I. specialized in genre paintings starting in the 1960s. - in portraits. He taught at the Moscow Secondary Art School (1950-1952).
