Клевер О.Ю.

Clover Oscar Yulievich (1887, St. Petersburg - 1975, Leningrad).

Son and student of painting professor Yu.Yu. Clover. In the 1890s. studied in the workshop of L.E. Dmitriev-Kavkazsky in St. Petersburg. He was close to the artists of “World of Art” and “Blue Rose”. Participant of exhibitions since 1906. Exhibited at the Autumn exhibitions in St. Petersburg and exhibitions of the Association of Artists. He illustrated and designed books, created sketches of theatrical costumes and scenery at the Mobile Theater P.P. Gaideburov in St. Petersburg. After the revolution he worked primarily as a theater artist and graphic artist. The artist’s works are in the State Literary Museum, in the museum-estate of N.A. Nekrasov “Karabikha”, in the museum of G.Kh. Andersen in Odense (Denmark), in the Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts, in RGALI, in the House of Stage Veterans in Leningrad.
