Since 1937, he has illustrated and designed books for the Molodaya Gvardiya publishing house, and draws for the magazines Smena, Around the World, and Ogonyok. In the 1940s, the main artist of Ogonyok, the author of famous covers for this magazine. Art editor of the magazine "Ogonyok". In the 1950s, he was engaged in easel graphics, postage stamp models. Author of articles on fine arts. Viktor Klimashin is the author of the architectural project and the main artist of the Soviet pavilion at the International Industrial Exhibition in Bombay (1951).
