Klychev Izzat Nazarovich

Klychev Izzat Nazarovich (1923 - 2006).

Turkmen Soviet painter, participant in the Great Patriotic War. Academician of the USSR Academy of Arts (1988; corresponding member 1970). Hero of Socialist Labor (1983). People's Artist of the USSR (1973). Laureate of the USSR State Prize (1967). In 1940-1942 he studied at the Ashgabat Art School. His teacher Yulia Prokofievna Daneshvar, a Russian artist and student of A. A. Deineka, had a great influence on the development of the artist. In 1942 he volunteered to go to the front. In 1947-1953 he studied in Leningrad at the I. E. Repin LIZHSA, where a national studio was created for gifted creative youth from Central Asia, with A. M. Gerasimov, B. V. Ioganson, Yu. M. Neprintsev, I. A. Serebryany. In 1953-1954 he taught at the Turkmen Art School named after Sh. Rustaveli (Ashgabat). In 1962-1965, 1970-1976, since 1982 - Chairman of the Board of the Union of Artists of the Turkmen SSR. Since 1953, Klychev has been a regular participant in major union, regional and international exhibitions. His personal exhibitions were repeatedly exhibited in Moscow, Ashgabat, as well as in many countries around the world.
