Kojak Azariy Fedorovich

Kojak Azary Fedorovich (1907 – 1983).

Born in Yalta. Visited the studio of local artist L.V. Brumer. In 1927, having moved to Moscow, he entered the graphic department of Vkhutein. Then, after the disbandment of Vkhutein, he continued his studies at the Printing Institute, the publishing department of which he graduated in 1931. From the same year he began to take part in art exhibitions for the first time. He was engaged in design work, worked as a set designer, and deputy chief artist at the State Historical Museum in 1949-1953. Since 1962 - member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. He devoted many years of work to creating illustrations for “The Lady with the Dog” by A.P. Chekhov.
