He studied at the Penza Art School (1902 - 1909) with K.A. Savitsky, then at the Academy of Arts (since 1909) with V.E. Savinsky. He has participated in exhibitions since 1911 (AH, “Association of Independents”). He taught at the Vitebsk Art College, BGTHI.
