Soviet graphic artist, poster artist, illustrator. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Known as the author of popular posters on socio-political and sports topics. He received his artistic education at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). He collaborated with the publishing houses IZOGIZ, Iskusstvo, Plakat, and Prosveshchenie, was engaged in book and magazine illustration, and created sketches of postage stamps and postcards. Posters by I. A. Kominarets are stored in the collections of the Russian State Library (RSL), the Russian National Library (RNL), the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, and in private collections in Moscow and London.
